Some of the best roads in the city to learn on

The newer schemes along this corridor were laid out with wide carriageways, generous junctions and comparatively light internal traffic. For a first lesson that is close to ideal — there is room to get something wrong, correct it, and carry on without holding up half a street.

Learners here usually progress through the basics faster than average, which leaves more of the course for the part that actually matters.

The corridor is where the training goes

Every journey out of these schemes puts you on a fast road quickly. Merging from a slip road, holding a lane at speed, leaving a real following distance and planning an exit well in advance are the core of the course here, not an afterthought at the end of it.

The large junctions along the corridor get specific attention too: choosing your lane on approach rather than inside the junction is what separates a driver who looks comfortable from one who does not.

A caution about easy roads

Wide, quiet roads build confidence quickly, and confidence that has not been tested is worth very little. We deliberately take students from these schemes into denser traffic before the course ends, so that the first congested junction you meet alone is not genuinely your first.

Your driving licence

Whether you apply for an ICT licence through Islamabad Traffic Police or a Punjab licence through the Rawalpindi licensing authority depends on the address on your CNIC. We confirm it at booking, explain the learner permit step, and prepare you for the practical test either way.
