What makes I-9 different from the sectors around it

Most of the I-series is residential. I-9 is not — a large part of it is the industrial area, and the traffic reflects that. You are not only sharing the road with other cars; you are sharing it with loaded trucks that need a much wider turning circle than you expect, stop without much warning, and have blind spots big enough to lose a car in.

A learner who has only driven in an empty sector will meet all of that for the first time alone, after passing. Our I-9 students meet it with an instructor in the car.

How the lessons are ordered here

The first sessions stay inside the residential blocks of I-9/1 to I-9/4, where the roads are quiet and the mistakes are cheap. That is where clutch, gears, mirrors and lane discipline get built until they are automatic rather than something you think about.

Only then do we take you onto the industrial roads and into I-9 Markaz. By that point you are not learning to drive any more — you are learning to judge, which is a different skill and the one that keeps you safe.

Driving near heavy vehicles

There are a few habits we teach specifically because of where you will be driving: never sit alongside a truck through a turn, leave a following distance that looks excessive until the day it is not, and assume a heavy vehicle has not seen you until you can see the driver's mirrors. None of this is exotic. It is just rarely taught, because most courses never take a learner anywhere it matters.

Your Islamabad driving licence

An I-9 address means an ICT licence through Islamabad Traffic Police — learner permit first, then the practical test. We check which authority applies to you from the address on your CNIC before the course begins, and prepare you for the test either way.
