Lessons that fit around classes

A driving course is only realistic for a student if it bends around the timetable rather than the other way round. Slots run morning, afternoon and evening, and because pick and drop can collect you from your campus in H-8 or H-9 instead of your house, a lesson can sit in a gap between classes rather than costing you a whole afternoon.

Female students are taught by female instructors where they prefer it — asked at booking, not left to chance on the day.

What these roads actually teach

The institutional sectors have a traffic pattern of their own: long quiet stretches for most of the day, then a sharp peak at the start and end of class hours, with heavy pedestrian crossing and a lot of vehicles stopping to drop people off. Learning to read that — anticipating the car ahead that is about to stop for no visible reason — is a genuinely useful skill and the sectors teach it for free.

The quiet middle of the day is ideal for the early lessons, which is a practical advantage H-8 and H-9 have over the commercial sectors.

Then the avenues

The sectors are bounded by fast, multi-lane roads, and lessons move there once the basics are solid: merging, holding a lane, and judging the speed of traffic that is already moving. Most students find this the biggest step in the course.

Your Islamabad driving licence

An H-8 or H-9 address means an ICT licence through Islamabad Traffic Police. If your CNIC still carries a home-town address elsewhere, that is what decides the authority, not where you study — we check it with you before the course starts so there are no surprises at the licensing office.
